In 2002, the site in Albert Luthuli Local Municipality underwent extensive rehabilitation, erasing all traces of mining and restoring it to a pristine condition. The mining activities had created a large hole and an interconnected cave system, providing perfect conditions for all types of diving. The open water reaches a depth of 55 meters, while the caves have been explored down to 186 meters.
